Hi. I’m Patricia Walker, a.k.a. Baja Rock Pat.
In 2003, I was your average next-door-neighbor-type wife and mom living in a middle-class neighborhood. I did all the things a stay-at-home mom did: cooked, cleaned, did the laundry, maintained the household accounts, threw birthday parties and holiday gatherings. I chauffeured the kids to football games, music lessons and school events. I found all sorts of creative ways to keep our family afloat on one income. Suffice to say that we did without a lot of things—and dumpster-diving wasn’t beneath me. To this day, we still don’t have cable TV.
Then, after 17 years, my husband and I took a trip to Mexico. It changed my life.
In the middle of a rock concert, I had a mystical experience. Nothing like this had ever happened to me before.
As long as I can remember, I’ve been writing—poetry mostly, so I wrote a poem about it.
Hence, the poem grew into a book that took nearly six years to write. I'm currently in the process of finding an agent and publisher.
I also have several poems and articles published in local literary collections.

Interests
Music, dancing, going to concerts, writing, poetry, the ocean, laughing with friends, living life to its fullest. Uh, and I do like a shot of tequila every now and then; Cabo Wabo of course!
